Track and Field Season Information

General Information

The club welcomes athletes from ages 5-18 years old. Track and field is a sport that has been around for thousands of years and is considered one of the original Olympic sports. It is a diverse and challenging sport that tests an athlete's speed, endurance, strength, and agility.

Practice Schedule

We hold practices on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 5:30-7:00pm until July 19th, 2024.

Sportsmanship Rules

 

Track and field is a sport that emphasizes good sportsmanship and respect for both competitors and officials. The following are the sportsmanship rules that all athletes and spectators must follow:

  1. Respect competitors and officials: Treat all competitors, officials, and volunteers with respect, whether you win or lose. Do not engage in unsportsmanlike behavior, such as taunting, trash-talking, or physical abuse.
  2. Follow the rules: Know and follow all rules of the sport, including those related to equipment, starting procedures, and finishing times. If you are unsure of the rules, ask a coach or official for clarification.
  3. Practice fair play: Do not engage in any behavior that gives you an unfair advantage, such as cheating, using performance-enhancing drugs, or taking shortcuts on the course.
